Some of the ways we saved money included: Having the hot food (beef brisket, smoked chicken, potatoes, beans) delivered but not catered; making the salads and dessert buffet ourselves, with the help fo friends and family; using a cool old barn (no animals housed there) for the reception site; and doing all the flowers and decorations ourselves.
